다. 충격시험은 재료의 연성(ductility) 또는 인성(toughness)의 판정을 위한 것으로서, 아주 짧은 시간에 큰 하중이 작용하는 하중을 충격하중이라 하며 재료에 충격저항이 작용할 때 에너지법을 이용하여 충격저항을 측정하며, notch부의 형상에 따른 충격저항의 change(변화)를 구하여 이에 대한 influence을 이해해 보고자 한다.

그림1과 같이 핸들을 돌려서 팬둘럼이 α되는 각도의 위치에 고정시키고 펜듈럼 팬둘럼의 날이 시험편의 노치 부분에 오도록 시험편을 바른 위치에 놓은 다음, 팬둘럼을 낙하시켜서 시험편을 파괴시키고 팬둘럼이 각도 β만큼 올라가게 한다.

충격 시험은 시험편을 양단힌지 위에 올려놓은 다음 시험편의 notch부분이 정확하게 중앙에 오도록 수평으로 놓는다. 이때 시험편이 중앙점을 충격하중을 가하여 시험편이 파단 되는데 소요된 흡수에너지E(kgf․m)로 충격치를 나타낸다. 그리고 충격시험기의 원리 및 구조를 이해하는데 있다.
